The Sailing Oracle is a personal hobby project made for fun. It is not a navigation aid, a marine forecast or professional advice of any kind.
Its verdicts come from a general weather forecast and simple rules of thumb. They can be wrong, out of date or unsuitable for your boat, crew, skills and waters. Do not trust the forecast or the suggestions blindly. Always check official marine forecasts and warnings, such as those from the Finnish Meteorological Institute, and use your own judgement.
The final decision to sail, and the responsibility for it, always lies with the captain.
